How do I block an application?

In order to ensure you will not allow additional information to be collected by applications or continue to receive requests and notifications from an application, you must block the application on Facebook. The directions below should assist you in locating the application you wish to block. Please note that these directions describe functionality provided by Facebook Inc. and may be subject to changes based on their updates.

 

If you have previously installed the application:
 

1. While logged into Facebook, go to the Application Settings Page Application Settings Page
2. Find the application you wish to block and click on it's name. A menu should expand.
 

Note: "Removing" an application from this page will not stop your friends from sending you requests or prevent the application from accessing your public information.

3. Once the details of the application appear, click on the Application name, which should now be blue.
4. On the next page click "Block App" on the lower left hand side of the page.
5. On the following pop up click "Okay
 

Note: Blocking or removing an application does not unsubscribe you from Zynga email, to do so please visit accounts.zynga.com. You will be asked to connect with Facebook to locate your email address. 

 

If you have never installed the application: 
 

1. From any Facebook page, type the name of the application you wish to block.
2. A menu will appear, from the menu select the application under the Apps bar.
3. On the next page click "Block App" on the lower left hand side of the page. On the following pop up click "Okay"
