NFL Showdown - How To Play - Today

Hi Coach,

Now that you have your team, you are ready to start the game! If you want to become a great manager, you need to know everything about your team; you need to have the bigger picture!

The Today tab will give you the overview that you need to plan your upcoming games. Check out the showcase window for a preview of your team's next game. The Today tab also gives you

easy access to your team's weekly schedule and the league standings:

Game Preview:

The preview will show your strengths and weaknesses against your next opponent. 

Check out your opponent’s overall team rating, run or pass ratings to see if your players need to spend more time on the practice field to boost their level. On the top, you have to option to analyze your opponent’s roster too.

Weekly Schedule:

Here you can review your calendar and have a look at your team's future opponents. If you click on any of the games, you’ll be able to see the preview for that game. Keep in mind that you are in for the long run; plan ahead and always keep an eye on your upcoming games! 

When you see the words “BYE WEEK” over a week, this means that your team has no game that week. Use this week to give your players some rest or get them out onto the practice field.

Standings:

The standings will show you how good your team's performance is across the league, conference or division. The standings will show your wins (W), the games you lost (L) and the games behind the division leader (GB).

The Today tab gives you access to other features in the game too. On the top bar, beside your coach name, you’ll find your Team Rating. If you tap here, you will access the Practice area, where you can improve and work on your team's performance.

Next to the team rating, there is a small clipboard with an Advisor's Checklist. Complete the tasks on the checklist and collect some extra goods (cash, coins, health packs, energy or confidence boost). These tasks will show you multiple features of NFL Showdown. Tap “Show me” and follow the instructions on the screen. Completing these small tasks will allow you to collect that little extra something that your team might need to win the next game!

If you tap your name, you will open your Legacy roadmap. Here you can see your Legacy Level and Rank. Each level unlocks new rewards. You can earn Legacy XP signing Free Agents, upgrading players and winning games.

On the bottom of the screen you will see a small envelope. Tap the envelope to access to your team news, such as signings or contract expiration. Do not let your stars go!

Now you have the bigger picture, you know exactly what your team needs. Go to the practice field to check on your team or head to the office to sign some new players.
