Dairy Crafting Guide [Slow Rollout]

We are pleased to announce our newest crafting feature in FarmVille: the Dairy! Use your Dairy to fill orders from the town, and get exclusive prizes and materials to expand your Dairy in return! You don’t have to build or request anything to get started—just place your Dairy and get crafting!

Placing Your Dairy

When you open your Farm, you’ll see a popup asking you to place your new Dairy. Clicking “Place Now” will put you into Placement Mode:

If you don’t want to place the Dairy at this time, you can switch tools and go find the Dairy in your Gift Box later on.

You can also find the Dairy in the Market. Purchase it for 1 Coin!

Best of all? Your Dairy doesn’t need any parts to get started—once you place it, you’re good to go!

 Note: You can place more than a Dairy on multiple Farms, but clicking on it will always take you to the same Dairy screen. Basically, the Dairy is universal, and placing multiple Dairies gives you a way to access it from any of your Farms.

How the Dairy Works

The Dairy is totally self-contained. You don’t need to grow, ask for, or place any additional items to get started.

When you open the dairy, you’ll see the Order Board, Raw Ingredients Stations, and Crafting Machines.

Order Board: The Order Board houses Dairy orders from the town. Click on a face to see that person's order:

Fill that order by crafting items in the Dairy to earn prizes. Every order that you fill earns you coins, items for your Farm or to expand your Dairy, and Dairy Points, which help you to level up your Dairy to unlock new machines and recipes.

Raw Materials: There are five Raw Materials stations, which you unlock as you level up. Each one harvests for different ingredients that you can use in the Dairy Recipes you can make with the Crafting Machines. The first station, the Milk Station, is already unlocked when you place the Dairy.

 Each Station is harvestable for 1 type of Raw Ingredient:

You can tell when Raw Ingredients are ready by looking for the pink marker hovering over a station, indicating that it’s ready. You can see how long you have until a station is ready to harvest by hovering your mouse over it:

Each station harvests in 5 minutes or less. Once you harvest a station, the Raw Ingredients you get will go straight into your Dairy's Silo.

 Crafting Machines: There are five Crafting Machines, which you unlock gradually as you level up. The first machine, the Butter Churn, is already unlocked once you place the Dairy.

 

Each machine can make an assortment of different recipes:

 

The Goods that you make in the Crafting Machines will be stored in your Dairy's Barn. Each recipe takes between 2 minutes and 24 hours to complete, depending on the recipe.

The Barn and Silo

 Your Dairy has a Barn and a Silo for storage already attached to it. These two storage facilities each hold up to 10 Goods or Raw Ingredients at first. You can expand them to hold 10 more items with each expansion.

Expanding the Barn

 Each time you expand your Barn, you will need the following parts:

• 10 Dairy Shelves
• 10 Ice Cream Scoopers
• 10 Cheese Cloth

You can get these parts by completing Dairy orders, or by purchasing each part for 1 FC each.

Expanding the Silo

Each time you expand your Silo, you will need to following parts:

• 10 Ice Blocks
• 10 Thermometers
• 10 Milk Bottles

You can get these parts by completing Dairy orders, or by purchasing each part for 1 FC each.

As you expand your Silo and Barn, your Dairy will grow more and more visually impressive:

Earning Prizes in the Dairy

To earn prizes in the Dairy, you must fill all the orders on the Order Board. Click on a face to see that person's order:

You’ll get rewards for each order you complete, as well as a special, bigger prize for completing all orders on the Order Board. Orders can be Raw Ingredients, crafted Dairy Goods, or both. As you level up your Dairy, the orders will get larger and more complex.

Once you’ve completed all the orders on the Order Board, you’ll see a popup with what you’ve won:
