Building Parts for the Orchard (Grafting Wax and Rootstock)

When building an orchard you will be required to get 15 Grafting Wax, and 15 Rootstocks from your friends.

We have discovered a problem requesting these items, and are working on a fix. You should be able to request these items from any of your Facebook friends, but a current bug is only showing your "Prospective Neighbors", or players that do not already play FrontierVille.

You should also be able to request these items from "All Friends" and "FrontierVille Friends". These tabs are not displaying correctly at this time, and we appreciate your patience while we work to restore them. We anticipate having this issue addressed quickly so that you will be able to return to normal game play.

Now your businesses can be upgraded just by supplying them! With each upgrade, your business can accept more goods and improve its payout!

NOTE: Each business has different upgrade requirements.

A: Yes.

Q. How much can friends help?
A. From business level 1 to 2, each friend gives you +10 to upgrade progress. From level 2 to 3, each friend gives +20 to upgrade progress!.


How It Works

In the Build menu, you can see if a business is upgradeable. You will also see a star above your current business, which also means that your business can be upgraded.



After you build the business, you can move your mouse pointer over the bus to see your current Upgrade Progress.

There are a few different ways to upgrade:

• Supplying: Every time you supply your business it gains +1 to upgrade progress.
• Crew: Each crew member that you add gives your business +10 (+20 at level 2) to upgrade progress.
• City Cash: For 2 City Cash you can add +1 to upgrade progress.
• Tour Buses: For each tour bus you send to an upgradeable business, it gains +1 upgrade progress.

Whichever method you choose, you will see your progress in the mastery window as well as when you move your mouse pointer over a business.



When your business is ready to complete the upgrade, you will see a hammer over the building.



Now that your business has been upgraded, the building and number of stars update to reflect your business level.



Level 3

Repeat the process and upgrade to Level 3 to reap the full benefit of Business Mastery. Remember that a Level 3 business can hold more goods and give you a better payout!

Mega Stove Problems?

Hello Chefs!

Cafe World is excited to bring to all players a 2nd 4x Mega Stove!

As sometimes happens with a release, there have been early reports of hiccups with this brand new and exciting feature!

Some chefs have reported the following issues:

1. Placing 4x Mega Stove is not counting for the first task in the first quest.
2. Mega Stove may have disappeared.
3. 4th Burner not unlocking on original Mega Stove
4. Only being able to cook on one burner.
5. Not receiving the quest line to place the Mega Stove.

Or you may have a different issue entirely.

Please know that these problems are temporary and are a direct result of the release process for this feature. Once the stove is out to everyone, these issue should not occur any longer in your Cafe.

I didn't receive a bonus from a Mystery Gift

Players are able to redeem a total of 20 Mystery Gifts per day. Note that you can only accept 5 gifts per friend per day (until you reach 20). Additionally, you can only send 5 gifts per friend per day. The cap on these gifts resets at 12:00am PST. You can store unopened Mystery Gifts and open them the following day to score zPoints or zCoins.

Our developers have recently implemented a potential fix for Mystery Gift issues that seems to be having a positive affect on the problem.  Please be extra aware of whether your Mystery Gift bonus is zCoins or zPoints.  We've received inquiries from people who seem to be confused about the difference.

FrontierVille Not Loading 5/25/11

We are aware that many players are currently unable to load the game using Internet Explorer. We apologize for the inconvenience and are working as quickly as possible to get you back on your homestead.

Loading Issues for 5/25/2011 are resolved (Updated!)

Hello Farmers,

We received reports from players having loading issues today, 5/25/2011, which started around 4:30 am PST until about 3:00 pm PST. During that time, we disabled Wither and Pet wandering as noted by the yellow alert box above your game.

The FarmVille team was aware of this new loading issue and we have worked to resolve the problem in a timely manner. We recently implemented an update that we believe has resolved this particular loading issue.

My Energy Bonus is not counting!

Players are reporting confusion over energy bonuses received when harvesting crops or feeding animals. Please note that energy bonuses are added to total energy when they spawn, not when they are clicked on.

How do I verify my Prize Machine winnings?

Several players have reported recently that they've won the Jackpot when using their Prize Machine.

Keep in mind when opening the Prize Machine, it may appear that you've won, as the Prize Machine will, at first, look to be in the midst of a spin and then land on the Jackpot square to start off.  What you may see is something similar to the image below:

It also might start off as having said you won a "Special Delivery", by starting off on that prize, as well.

Keep in mind that in order to win the jackpot, you must have chosen the "Max Play" option prior to spinning the prize machine. If you have not chosen the "Max Play" option, you will not win the jackpot.

Jackpots are only awarded a maximum of once a day, within Cafe World.

However, if you still believe you won and did not receive your Cafe Cash reward, we have a way you can check!

Open the Prize Machine and click the Past Winners button located at the bottom left-hand corner. The Past Jackpot Winners list details all of the Prize Machine winners for the month, the name of their cafe, and the amount won.

What is RewardVille?

RewardVille is a program that rewards you for playing Zynga games. As you play Zynga games, you will accumulate zPoints - similar to, but separate from, experience points in most Zynga games. Lady Gaga’s FarmVille Guide

Lady Gaga is visiting Farmville and has brought her own farm, special items, and her new music with her to share! The more you explore her farm and complete her quests, the cooler prizes and music you will unlock! Lady Gaga’s FarmVille experience will begin on Monday 5/17/2011 at Midnight (EST). After Midnight, you will be able to see Lady Gaga’s special farm, called GagaVille, on your neighbor bar. You can click Visit at any time to travel to her farm and experience it for yourself! When you visit GagaVille, you will have the chance to see how Lady Gaga farms and what special items she has on her farm! On your home farm, you will also see a new quest thumbnail that will let you take part in Lady Gaga themed quests to receive limited edition items and hear songs from Lady Gaga’s new album Born This Way before the album releases on 5/23/2011. The first quest will only be available to complete for 24 hours starting Midnight on 5/17 until Midnight 5/18. After the time expires, the quest will no longer be available, and the next day’s quest will take its place.   When you complete the daily quest, a music icon appears on the right side of your farm. When you click this icon, a separate window opens with a music player that streams one of Lady Gaga’s songs from her new and unreleased Born This Way album. If you want to play the track again, just click the music icon on your farm again. That is all there is to it! • Reach 650 or more population.

You will see the familiar upgrade arrow above your Post Office:



Click the post office to open the upgrade window. Upgrading to Level 2 requires you to add 2 new employees for a total of 7. After you have upgraded your Post Office, you will see the design upgrade as well!

Result: At Level 2, your Post Office supports 150 population, and gives you a chance to get more energy and City Seals when collecting.



Upgrading to Level 3

Level 3 Upgrade Requirements:

• Collect from Level 2 Post Office 5 times.
• Reach 2,200 or more population.

After you have met the upgrade requirements, click your Post Office to bring up the upgrade window. Upgrading to Level 3 requires you to add 3 additional employees for a total of 10.

Result: At Level 3, your Post Office supports 500 population, and gives you a higher chance to receive City Seals and more energy when collecting.

Guide to Zoos

Zoos are a fun, social activity to share with your friends. You and your friends can exchange Zoo donations, which could result in animals, coins, energy, or goods. You will have a chance to find and collect common, rare or very rare animals. Cash options will also be available for those that want to build their zoo more quickly or purchase animals.

Q: Can anyone build a Zoo?
A: Zoos are available for players level 17+.

Q: How do I get more animals?
A: You can request for donations from your friends in the zoo interface, or you can purchase more animals with cash. Your rewarded donations are random and can range from a gift basket to a decoration to an animal.

Q: Why would I want to collect more animals?
A: The more animals you have in a Jungle Habitat, the more coins you collect from that habitat.

Q: Where is my animal? I asked for donations?
A: Donations sent from friends are random, you may get a  decoration, a gift basket, or an animal. Your animals that you receive or purchase will not be in your main inventory. However, they will be available in your Zoo inventory, which can be found by clicking your Jungle Habitat.

Q: How and why would I want to send donations?
A: Watch for requests from friends on your game feed asking for more animals. When you donate to their zoo, you get something too!

Getting Started

Every CityVille player that has reached Level 17 will be given a Jungle Habitat to place in their city.



You will also receive your first animal with the Jungle Habitat. The choice of animal you are given will be random. Look for the green Place button under an animal.



The zoo interface allows you to place and manage the animals in your Jungle Habitat.



Click Place to see an animal in your habitat.

To remove an animal from your Jungle Habitat, move your mouse pointer over the animal and click the X. The animal count readjusts. If you choose, you can re-place an animal into your zoo inventory.

After placing an animal, click See My Zoo to look at your zoo from high above your city.

Guide to Boosting your Population

CityVille presents a new way to gain population! Now, every time you collect from a residence, it has a chance to drop additional population!

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What do I need to do?
A: Simply collect rent from residences; each time you collect rent a population upgrader can drop.

Q: How much can each building's population increase?
A: You can see the population range for a building in the Build menu or above any house when it is not ready for collection.

Q: My friend was rewarded with a +40 population upgrade, why did I only get +20?
A: The amount of each upgrade varies according to the maximum population of each residence.

Q: Why is my residence population not increasing? The residence is not at the cap.
A: Check your city population cap. If you are maxed, you must build community buildings!

Q: My residence and city are not at the cap, but population upgrades are not dropping from my buildings. Why?
A: If your citizens are unhappy, population upgrades will not drop from residences.

Here's How it Works

In addition to the base population of a residence, each residence can gain additional population up to it's maximum. This max is shown on the Build menu, and it also displays above your building.






Remember: Although you have a chance to get one of these population upgrades every time you collect from a residence, they are random and relatively rare.

If you collect from houses often, you can increase your chance of getting a population upgrade.

Depending on the maximum population of your residence, the exact amount of population gained from each will vary.

The population upgrade icons all resemble moving trucks of different sizes.
