CityVille presents a new way to gain population! Now, every time you collect from a residence, it has a chance to drop additional population!

Q: What do I need to do?
A: Simply collect rent from residences; each time you collect rent a population upgrader can drop.
Q: How much can each building's population increase?
A: You can see the population range for a building in the Build menu or above any house when it is not ready for collection.
Q: My friend was rewarded with a +40 population upgrade, why did I only get +20?
A: The amount of each upgrade varies according to the maximum population of each residence.
Q: Why is my residence population not increasing? The residence is not at the cap.
A: Check your city population cap. If you are maxed, you must build community buildings!
Q: My residence and city are not at the cap, but population upgrades are not dropping from my buildings. Why?
A: If your citizens are unhappy, population upgrades will not drop from residences.
Here's How it Works
In addition to the base population of a residence, each residence can gain additional population up to it's maximum. This max is shown on the Build menu, and it also displays above your building.
Remember: Although you have a chance to get one of these population upgrades every time you collect from a residence, they are random and relatively rare.
If you collect from houses often, you can increase your chance of getting a population upgrade.
Depending on the maximum population of your residence, the exact amount of population gained from each will vary.
The population upgrade icons all resemble moving trucks of different sizes.
