The FarmVille Collections system has gone through some major revisions! The system is now much more streamlined (similar to the Wishing Well), so you do not have to gather collectibles in your inventory and “Use” them later. The old collections have been replaced with new ones, there are new prizes, and you can even level up your Collections accomplishments!
NOTE: The Collections system updates automatically the next time you play FarmVille. Any of the collectibles you have acquired and used towards a Collection are now gone—however, you have been compensated a fair amount of XP and Coins for each collection that you did not redeem.
If you still have a few of the old collectibles in your inventory, you should delete them as they are no longer usable and take space in your inventory.
You can view the updated system by moving your mouse pointer over the Ribbons button in the bottom right of the screen.
When you options open, click Collections.
The Collections window displays up to four collections at once. Click the arrow at the right to see additional collections. The new Collections are as follow:
You can view what you have in a Collection by clicking the icon for each Collection. Certain collectibles may include a green paper icon—this allows you to ask your neighbors to gift you this item. You can only use this feature once per day. Move your mouse pointer over the green paper icon and click Ask to add a collectible to your wishlist.
You can view the rewards for completing a collection at the bottom right; you receive Coins and XP for every trade in, and many times you also receive a special item. You can celebrate your collection accomplishments by sharing (click Share) a random Uncommon or Rare collectible with your neighbors by making a post to your Facebook feed.
Every time you trade in a Collection, the Collection levels up. Every time the Collection levels up, you will need more collectibles to finish the next Collection level. However, the rewards for completing the next Collection level also increase with each level. The prize box shows what you can receive for the current Collection level, but if you move your mouse pointer over the arrow on the right, a panel opens to show the prizes for the next Collection level.
You acquire collectibles by harvesting items related to each Collection. You receive a collectible based on random chance for each individual harvesting action. For Berries, this involves harvesting berry crops; Citrus requires harvesting fruit trees. For cows, you need cows. English Countryside and Greenhouse crops can count towards some of these Collections.
When you use consumables for harvesting actions, every harvested item is considered; thus, there is no advantage to using harvested consumables. If you get a collectible, a pop-up message appears to tell you what you received.

- You can only access new Collections if you are level 10 or higher.
- Special Delivery Boxes and Mystery Eggs no longer provide collectibles—only harvesting actions and acquisitions from neighbors can get you collectibles.
