A Guide to the Tiger Habitat in CityVille 2

A Guide to the Tiger Habitat in CityVille 2

Would you like a zoo for your city? How about raising Tigers in that zoo? Or, even better, Flying Tigers?

The details in this guide will help you build a Tiger Habitat and teach you everything you need to know in order to care for a variety of tiger breeds that you can showcase to visiting friends!

Getting Started

Requirements:

You have to be Level 5 in CityVille 2 before you can build a tiger. Additionally, you can only have one Tiger Habitat in your city at a time.

The Tiger Habitat can be moved into any open and unlocked district you have; if you redecorate your city you will be able to move the Habitat anywhere you like!

Placing and Building a Tiger Habitat

The first time you play CityVille 2 after meeting the requirements, you will be given a free Tiger Habitat! Just pick an open spot in your city and place it to get started!

If you aren’t prompted to place the Tiger Habitat you can always search for it in the Market. Once the habitat is placed, you will need the following Construction Parts to complete it:

  • 8 Builders
  • 4 Scrap Metal
  • 4 Hammers
  • 5 Foundations
  • 10 Reputation
  • 5 Tiger Trainers

Depending on the part, you can build them, find them by collecting from various objects in your city, ask your friends for them, or acquire them by spending Golden Keys.

Once you have all the Construction Parts the Habitat you can complete it by laying the Dooberometer Game!

Your First Tiger Cub

After you complete the construction of the Tiger Habitat you will receive a free Tiger Cub!

First things first, your cub needs a name. You can accept the name chosen to start, click the “Random” button to get alternatives, or type in one of your own! Once you are settled on a name click the “View” button to look inside the habitat.

When you open the Tiger Habitat, you will see your cub, and have the ability to feed him. He needs Tiger Chow to grow up!

You can craft Tiger Chow, or buy it with Golden Keys. In order to grow up, a cub needs to weigh 150 pounds, or more. Every time you feed a cub Tiger Chow, it will gain weight! You have five days to feed and raise each tiger cub.

You can purchase additional tigers for 1,000 each and you can raise multiple tigers at the same time. Strategize well though! You want to make sure you are can feed all your felines so they can be at least 150 pounds before the 5 day limit!

If your tiger does not reach 150 pounds before the 5 day limit expires, you get to keep him in your habitat, he just won’t grow up into one of the adult tigers.

Crafting Tiger Chow

Tiger Chow is created from Meat Mix and Pure H20. You can ask your friends for these items, or buy them with Golden Keys. You also receive Meat Mix as a reward for completing the Tiger Habitat Quests (Click here to view the quest guide).

New Adult Tigers

Based on how much Chow you feed it, the type of adult Tiger will be revealed after 5 days. If you cannot wait for the 5 days, you can immediately bypass the time with 60 Keys.

When a tiger cub grows up, you will see this window:

The New Adult window will tell you which adult breed your tiger cub grew up into, it’s final weight, and when it became an Adult!

Types of Tigers

Tiger cubs can grow up into a variety of different adult breeds! You can raise several tigers at a time, or individually, with the final breed being determined by how much you feed your tiger cub. The more you feed the cub, the more it will weigh when it becomes an adult.

Cubs weighing more than 150 pounds can become a Common adult tiger:
  • Bengal Tiger
  • Orange White Siberian Tiger
  • White Siberian Tiger

  • Cubs weighing more than 350 pounds can become an Exotic adult tiger:
  • Sabertooth Tiger
  • Night Tiger
  • Blue Tiger

Cubs weighing more than 600 pounds can become a Fantasy adult tiger:
  • Pink Tiger
  • Teal Sabertooth Tiger
  • Ghost Tiger

Tigers in each category are determined randomly when the cubs grow up. You can have more than one of each breed in your habitat!

Ultimate Tigers

If you collect all nine unique Common, Exotic, and Fantasy Tiger breeds, you will unlock an Ultimate Tiger and receive a Flying Tiger Cub.

Flying Tiger Cubs that weigh 600 pounds will grow into either a Flying Bengal Tiger, or a Night Flying Tiger.

If you would like both, you can repeat the collection of the initial nine unique tiger breeds to unlock a new Flying Tiger Cub and try for the Ultimate Tiger you need.

Displaying Your Tigers

After you grow a tiger cub, you can display the adult in the Habitat, visible when you or Neighbors are viewing your city. You can only display three at any one time, but can change which ones show as often as you like.

To change which tigers display, open the Habitat, click the tiger you want to show, and then click the “Show in Habitat” button on the bottom left side of the Habitat menu.

After you unlock all the tigers, your habit can show your current favorites to everyone who visits your city!
