This section will guide you through Empires & Allies' leveling system. Learn all the building's capabilities and battle strategies to quickly regain your empire. Overrun your rivals and let them eat dust by out-leveling them with your fast evolving forces and efficient use of resources.

- Empires & Allies Briefing -

Objectives
     - Your main objective is to level up fast to unlock higher tier buildings.
     - To use most of your Energies into battles for more EXP.
     - To complete all tasks available (recommended for first time players).

Requirements
     - Be Active! This can really affect your gameplay but feel free to play as you please.
     - Invite all your friends as neighbors. The more the better.
     - Please read the Empires & Allies Tips and Tricks Section.

- Tips to Remember -

Energy
     - Never spend your energies for claiming coins from houses. Let your friends do it for you.
     - Move trees or use them as decorations instead of cutting them down.
     - Visit your neighbors to get a free Energy.
     - Give free energies as gifts to your friends to get free energies.

Tasks
     - Tasks will guide you through the game and familiarize you to the game's features.
     - Complete them to match the pace of your gameplay, tasks and this guide.

Industry Buildings
     - Farms are your main source of Coins. Build at least 2 Farms per 3 Levels.
     - Watermelons are one of the best crops to harvest (your choice).

     - Lumber Mills for Woods: Build at least 2 Lumber Mills per 3 Levels.
     - Oil Wells for Oils: Build at least 1 Oil Well per 2 Levels.
     - Ore Mines for Ores: Build at least 1 Ore Mine per 3 Levels.

     - Build a Market to sell surplus ores and only sell ores that you can harvest.
     - Never sell Woods or Oils at your Market.
     - If you find someone who is selling Woods or Oils from their Market, buy them all!

Military Buildings
     - Build at least 1 or 2 of the same type name. Don't construct more than that unless
a task requires it.
     - Limit yourself to up to 5 military units of the same type name to conserve resources.
     - Create higher tier military units as soon that they are available.
     - Limit yourself to up to 2 or 3 military units that requires more than 200 Oil.

     - Store your military units instead of deploying them in the field.
     - Deploy from your inventory if a task demands it.
     - Deploy Cadet Soldiers to defend your empire to help the invaders. (LOL but it's better).
     - Defenseless Empire will generate random units including higher tier ones.

World Embassy - Immunity
     - ON: If you are getting heavy invasions from high leveled players.
     - OFF: If you can repel all invasions.

- Best Leveling Methods -

Campaign Battles
     - If you are confident enough, take the challenges in the Battle Map.
     - If you start to lose 1 or more units in a single battle, stop and strengthen your units.
     - Rewards: EXP and Coins + Liberty Bonds and some Bonus Units.

Campaign Battles (Replay) NEW!
     - Not recommended because you can no longer gain EXP or resources from replay.

Repelling Invasions
     - Welcome Invasions to your Empire to get EXP and Resources.
     - Help your friends repel Invasions from their Empire.
     - This is best if all Invaders are weaker than your military units.
     - Rewards: EXP, Coins + 1000 Coins, 25 Woods, 25 Oils, 1 Ore of each kind and 5 Honor.
     - Plus Power-Ups from leveling Honor.

Invading Empires (Optional)
     - Invading can also be a good way to get resources but...
     - Invading will piss off other players specially when you are using a
FULL FORCE HIGH LEVELED UNITS! to a low leveled newbie player...aaaaw...
     - Yes, they can still Expel Invaders by asking friends but some players will just
remove them as their neighbor which is not cool for the Invader.

Recommended Method for Invading
     - If you need it to finish a task then...
     - Invade with 2 or 3 low leveled units to make sure the invaded player can repel it.
     - If the Invaded player is not repelling (inactive), then you can earn your resources.

Other Signs of an Inactive Player
     - Players that stays on their level for a week.
     - Players with withered farm crops.
     - Players with lots of Gray Portraits in their empire. (Gray Portrait = Repelled Invaders).

     - Rewards: EXP and Coins + Infamy Points and Resources for every 4 hours.
     - Plus Power-Ups from leveling Infamy.

Critical Hits! and Critical Kills!
     - Criticals are your best friends because they can give you Energies!
     - To land a Critical Hit, You must choose military units that have an advantage over
your enemy units.
     - For Cash users, Use Accuracy Power-Ups to boost your Critical chances.
     - Rewards: Ores, Energy, Coins and EXP from Critical Hits.

     - You can get more awesome rewards if you can dish a Critical Kill!
     - This is the most effective way to gain EXP! More Critical Kills more EXP!

Now that you know the best way to gain EXP, you can also combine them all and look what suits your gameplay. Good luck playing your favorite browser online game on Facebook.

     - Build at least 2 Farms for every 3 Levels.

Military Buildings

a task requires it.

     - Other than the campaign, repelling invasions is a good source of EXP.
     - In case someone invades with a merciless force, hire your friends to expel the invader.

     - Ores are randomly generated. Every player can only harvest one kind of ore.
     - Lumber is greatly needed so build more Lumber Mills than the others.

Market
     - Under Industry Building
     - Sell your surplus resources in your Market but never sell
Wood or Oil unless you don't really need them anymore.
     - To check what your neighbors are selling, click on

Gift, Requests and Loading

Chefs,

Recently, we have received more complaints about loading and "Retrying" errors. After some investigation, we found that some player's accounts would not load because the account was back-logged with requests of all types.

We also have heard complaints about gifts disappearing, slow gameplay and error messages when accepting gifts or requests.

In order to try to fix this situation and let many players back in the game, we are making some changes to the way information is stored.

Catering Orders:
Requests to join your catering crew will expire in 7 days. We felt this was not going to be a problem, since Catering Orders end in 3 to 5 days. On your end, this will just keep your account from being overloaded with requests for orders you've already finished.

Crew Requests:
These will also expire in 7 days. This shouldn't affect your current gameplay since the first people who accept join the crew. After 7 days, these particular requests will expire. By 7 days, these requests usually receive the "crew full" message.

Gift Requests:
Gift Requests will expire in 14 days. Please accept all your gift requests as soon as possible. Currently, gifts remaining in the request area longer than 14 days are causing error messages and "Retrying" messages due to a backlog of content.

Gift Box:
Most players will not experience issues with their gift box, however, for people will a LOT of gifts, the oldest gifts will start to expire. We are going add a timer to the gift box to show the expiration date of gifts that are going to expire. The reason the oldest gifts will expire is so your gift box will not fill up, making new requests impossible to accept. Accepting newer gifts allows you to complete current missions.

I know this is a lot of information. Making these changes is going to positively affect your overall gameplay. If you have questions, please post them here.

Double Mastery Guide

Hey Farmers!

Super Crops have arrived! These new crops grow into super-sized crops that let you earn more coins, XP and Bushels! When you master the Super Crops, you’ll also receive a gold plated mastery sign for your achievement.

Upon entering FarmVille, you will receive the following pop-up. Click on the “Unlock now” button and you will be brought to the “Seeds” section of the Market.

There are nine new Super Crops that can be identified by their gold colored Market Card and the “Super” title at the beginning of their name.

The nine new Super Crops are:
  • Super Cotton
  • Super Pumpkin (Note: These are not the Super Pumpkins from the fan event last year.)
  • Super Yellow Mellon
  • Super Grape
  • Super Watermelon
  • Super Pepper
  • Super Strawberry
  • Super Pink Aster
  • Super Cranberry

To unlock a super crop, you must first fully master the basic version of the crop. For example, if I wished to plant Super Cotton, I would first have to attain level three mastery of the Cotton Crop. If you have not fully mastered the basic version of a Super Crop, you will be unable to plant it, and you will see the following screen when clicking on the “Unlock” button:

Once you have fully mastered the basic version of a Super Crop, you will notice that the crop is still locked in the Market. That’s because you still have one final step to complete before you can start planting!
When you click the “Unlock” button on a Super Crop you have mastered, you will see the following screen:

In order to start planting your Super Crop, you must first get the help of 6 Neighbors. To do this, click on the “Ask Friends” button. The screen above will allow you to see which Neighbors helped you and how much progress you have left. If you wish to skip this step, you can pay Farm Cash to certify the crop immediately.

The Mastery Sign for the basic version of a Super Crop will also allow you to request help from friends by clicking on it and selecting the “unlock” option from the menu. If you have Mastery Signs for basic crops on your farm that have corresponding Super Crops, they will be outlined in blue.

Once you have unlocked your Super Crop, it’s time to start planting! Super Crops have three additional levels of Mastery to complete. Upon fully mastering your Super Crop, you will be awarded with a special gold plated Mastery Sign.

Each time you achieve a mastery level, you will also be able to share packages of Super Crop seeds with your Neighbors for a limited time (7 Days). These seeds will allow your Neighbors to temporarily plant the Super Crop you have mastered, even if they would not otherwise have access to the crop. These seed packets can be found on the Free Gifts page and can be sent to any of your Neighbors.

If you receive a seed package from a friend, keep in mind that the crops still have their original level lock (for example, if strawberries normally unlock at level 20, you would not be able to use the Super Strawberry Seeds unless you were level 20 or above).

Each package you receive contains 20 seeds (this means you can plant a total of 20 super crops for each package of seeds you receive from a friend.)
In addition to the seed packages, you will also receive a one-time coin and XP bonus for each level of mastery you attain for a Super Crop. The rewards are as follows:
  • Super Mastery Level 1 - 1000 Coins and 50 XP
  • Super Mastery Level 2 - 3000 Coins and 150 XP
  • Super Mastery Level 3 – 10,000 Coins and 500 XP

As mentioned earlier in this guide, Super Crops will earn you additional coins, XP and Bushels when planted. Please find the information for each of these crops in the table below:

Each time you find a bushel from a Super Crop, you will be granted 4 instead of the usual 1. Please note that Super Crops only grant bushels for the basic version of the crop. This means that if I harvest Super Strawberries and find a bushel, it will be a normal Strawberry bushel, not a Super Strawberry Bushel. Because of this, you cannot use bushels on Super Crops to gain a Mastery Bonus.

Happy Farming!
