About CityVille Crops

You plant and harvest crops to grow goods, which you then supply to your businesses to earn coins. You are provided with a barn to hold the extra goods that your stores cannot initially use. As your city grows, you can plant more crops and buy or earn additional storage units.

To buy more plots for crops, click Build and then Farming. You unlock certain crops by purchasing a license with City Cash or by inviting the required number of neighbors.

It does not take energy to plant new crops or clear withered crops, but it takes 1 energy to harvest 1 crop.

Crops can only be harvested one time, and then need to be replanted. The more expensive the crop is, the more goods you will receive when harvesting. You can find out how many goods a crop will produce by placing your mouse cursor over that crop in the Farming store menu.  Currently, Peas have the highest goods value.

Except for Strawberries (which do not wither), crops wither at two times (2x) the rate of growth, which means that a 1 hour crop will wither 2 hours after it is ready for harvesting (or 3 hours after being planted).
