Get Ready for Prospect Falls!

Howdy everyone!

We're excited to give you a unique preview of the newest expansion in The Pioneer Trail, Prospect Falls. Prospect Falls is a step forward from other expansions you’ve seen before, like Ghost Town and Holiday Hollow. You’ve been tasked with helping Jasper with his gold rush ambitions and a few of his friends: Trader Bert (Bart’s brother), Sheriff Mae and Helena. You won’t start out with a town like previous expansions—you’ll be building your dream Boom Town the way you see fit. This is a whole new town to call your own.

This is not a short-term prospect as you might imagine. It’s going to take a bit of time to do, so don’t worry if you can’t get it done all in one sitting. Plus, we have some great content planned for Prospect Falls, including a land expansion, new quests and even our first building that hooks up your homestead with Prospect Falls. And don’t forget to play with the sound on! We’ve got some brand new music and sound effects for you!

Okay so let’s look at some of the details. There are a few new terms you’ll need to know:

  • Gold Nuggets – The main currency in Prospect Falls
  • Grub – A resource for feeding animals
  • Redwood Logs – A resource used in building and crafting materials
  • Determination – Your basic source of energy
  • Population – As your Boom Town grows in Population, the town can support more animals and put down more crops

How does it all work together? Well, it’s a circular relationship. At the base of it is your currency, Gold Nuggets. You can get them by collecting from MinesSluices and Rocker Boxes that dot the area (they may need to be constructed first, using Redwood Logs, parts from your neighbors, or crafted items). You can also get them from breaking down rocks, finishing quests, and whacking some Outlaws. Oh, and by the way, you can use Sherriff Mae once a day to instantly clobber a Outlaw. Pretty useful!

Gold Nuggets are used to purchase the bases for all of the buildings in the Market, as well as other items like animals and crops. Grub comes from harvesting crops, which are used to feed animals (the bigger the animal, the more Grub it requires to feed). You can also get Grub by tending Tangerine Trees.

Buildings are pretty important because they can increase your Population. The higher the Population, the more animals you can have and crops you can grow at any one time. (Some quests also offer Populationincreases as a reward.). Your Population is how you will compare with all your other neighbors, so the bigger, the better!

Prospect Falls will have all sorts of new buildings, animals, decorations and crops to get, like the Copper Cow, Golden Chipmunk, Jungle Gym, a variety of Redwoods and even a Golden Outhouse! Oh and remember those Gold Rush Vouchers you’ve been collecting? You’ll be able to redeem them in the Prospect Falls Market for two types of crates, one for animals and one for resources. Plus we have a lot of Collections for you to redeem, as well as a couple of Super Collections!

So are you ready to strike it rich and build your very own Boom Town in Prospect Falls?
