Ante Up! Zynga Poker Invites Players to Win for Water

Hankering to hit the Jackpot? So are we! And we’re counting on you, our Zynga Poker players, to help. Did you know that more than 780 million people – more than two times the U.S. population – lack access to clean water? Water is an important issue to all of us at Zynga, and we know it’s an issue many of you care about as well. Last year, our Zynga Poker players supported the development of 10 new water wells in Ethiopia, and this year we want to do even more!

Join Zynga’s pool of good gamers by using your supreme poker skills to go all-in and raise money for Water.org, a nonprofit organization co-founded by Gary White and Matt Damon that has transformed hundreds of communities in Africa, South Asia and Central America by providing access to safe water and sanitation. From March 13 through March 27, Zynga Poker players can contribute 15 percent of their winnings to the Water.org charity pot by activating the Helping Hands feature.

If the charity pot reaches 2 trillion chips by March 27, Zynga will donate $100,000, bringing Zynga’s total contribution to Water.org to $1 million. That’s enough funds to provide access to water for more than 2.8 million people for a year!*

Campaign Details

The rake can be enabled or disabled at any time during the promotion by pressing the check button next to Chip Rake in the feature menu. Chip contributions are non-refundable and non-transferable regardless of goal match shortage or overage. All contributions are final. Zynga will donate $100,000 to Water.org if 2 trillion chips have been contributed by 3/27/2104. The promotion is anticipated to run from 3/13/2014 until 3/272014. The overall status meter is updated whenever the app is refreshed.
