How To Play - Hazards (Words on Tour)

Hi Explorers,

In the course of the game you will encounter Hazards. These are obstacles that can make levels more challenging. Here are the Hazards to look out for:

1. Cement: These can be removed once tiles adjacent to it are used in words. (Some stones require adjacent tiles be cleared 2 or 3 times before they they are removed.) This is introduced in the city of Paris.

2. Big Word: Must be used in a word that has 5 or more letters in it. This is introduced in the city of Paris.

3. Stop and Go: These tiles alternate between "green" and "red" states and can only be used when green; cannot be used when red. This is introduced in the city of London.

4. Countdown: Must be used in a word before the counter reaches 0, level ends when this tile reaches 0. This is introduced in the city of San Francisco.

5. Alphabet: This tile changes to the next letter in the alphabet at every turn. This is introduced in the city of Cairo.

6. Licorice: This block line blasts and can be removed once tiles adjacent to it are used in words. If you do not destroy a Licorice tile, more of them can drop. This is introduced in the city of Sydney.

7.Tilt Lock: This tile is locked into its orientation and can only be used in a word when they are "in alignment" with the board - border turns green. This is introduced in the city of New York.

Have fun on your travels!
