Getting Started: Beginner's Guide

Welcome to the magical world of Fairy Tale Twist!

Zynga's newest strategy tile matching game is here! Work your way through many exciting levels to complete traditional fairy tales - with a TWIST. See your favorite Fairy Tale characters come to life before your eyes as you progress through this enchanting game.

Matches and Charms

The enchanted world of Fairy Tale Twist is full of Charms. These are the colored tiles on the board. Switch Charms and create a match of 3 to earn points. Switch and match more than 3 Charms and earn special Gems!

• Fairy Dash (Four in a Row)  -Matching 4 colors will earn you a special gem. Match this color again and you will see a more powerful magic!
• Pixie Dust (T and L-Shaped Match) - Creating a T or L-Shaped match will give you a different Special gem. Match this again and watch the magic! Why not try matching switching 2 special colors to see what happens?
• Crystal Ball (Five in a Row) - Match 5 colors in a row and you'll get a Very Special Gem. Play around with it to see what magic you can create!

Book
Fairy Tale Twist takes on the form of a storybooks. Each book contains a series of levels that tells a Fairy Tale story as you progress. Complete all the level of the book to know the TWIST in the story!

Goal
There are different goals depending on the level you are on. Normally, you will be asked to reach a certain score, or to match a certain number of colors in order to move on to the next level.

Moves
The number of moves is different on each level. If you run out of moves before reaching the level’s goal, you’ll fail to complete the level and lose a Life.

Lives
You need at least one Life to continue on your adventure. If you fail to complete the level’s goal, you will lose one Life. One Life regenerates every 25 minutes. But don’t worry, if you just can’t wait to beat the level, you can get more lives. How?

• Ask your friends - You can send requests to your friends to send you Lives. If they accept your request, your extra Life will be sent to your Inbox. Here’s a tip: only accept lives when you are in need of them. If you accept Lives when your Life is full, it will not be counted in your Life Bar.
• Use your Emeralds - Use your Emerald to purchase a full Life Set. This could be useful if your friends are hot on your tail!

Emeralds
Emerald is the only currency that can be purchased in the game. These Emeralds can help you a lot in your adventure and can surely be a Life saver. You can buy Lives, Moves, and Powers using these Emeralds. 

Powers
What’s a Fairy Tale adventure if you don’t have any Powers right? You can unlock new Powers as you progress in the Story. After unlocking them, you can purchase some more using your Emeralds. 

Leaderboard
There are Leaderboards on each level. It shows your score and your current standing against your friends. Battle out with your friends to get the crown!

Is Rumpelstiltskin giving you a headache again? Below are the most frequently asked questions regarding the "Oh no! Rumpelstiltskin has been fiddling with your game!" error message, and useful information to understand them better.

What are these errors? 

"Oh no! Rumpelstiltskin has been fiddling with your game!" errors occur when your Game and Fairy Tale Twist server disagree about the current state of a game. The disagreement is basically a disconnection between the Game and its server communication; this prevents any progress until the two are in agreement again.

What causes these errors?

"Oh no! Rumpelstiltskin has been fiddling with your game!" errors are typically caused by:

• Internet service errors
• Weak internet connection (Dial-up or slow internet connection)
• Taking too many actions at the same time on the Game
• Two game windows opened on the same or different browsers
• Using your phone (if dial-up connection)

When are these errors triggered?

Whenever you take any action in the game, a transaction is created to save that action on the server. If that transaction is not processed by the server, then it creates a disagreement and the error message is triggered to prevent you from losing any more progress.

What happens during these errors?

Fairy Tale Twist will always save all the actions that happened before the error is triggered, meaning that when you reload your game some progress might be lost, yet you will be able to re-do all the actions.

Will I lose Emerald/Life during these errors?

You shouldn't lose Emeralds in this error, as explained before the game will revert back all actions taken prior to the error message showing on your Game. However, since the game will refresh, this error can cost you one Life.

I hope you're enjoying our latest game, Fairy Tale Twist! Keep reading for some useful tips and information on how to play Fairy Tale Twist.
THE CONCEPT

Fairy Tale Twist is a Match-3 game. By switching colors on the board you can create a match of 3 or more colors, earning you points on that particular level.
THE OBJECTIVE

There is a range of different objectives depending on the level you are on. Normally, you will be asked to reach a certain score, or to match a certain number of colors in order to progress to the next level

Fairy Tale Twist takes on the form of a storybook. As you progress through levels, you will watch the story come to life before your eyes as well as seeing how good you are doing compared with your friends.
COMBOS

3X MATCH - The basic match, match 3 colors in a row to gain points

4X MATCH - Matching 4 colors will earn you a special gem. Match this color again and you will see an extra surprise.

L-SHAPED MATCH - Creating an L-Shaped match will give you a different special gem. Match this again and watch the magic! Why not try matching switching 2 special colors to see what happens?

5X MATCH - Match 5 colors in a row and you'll get an awesome bonus. Play around with it to see what magic you can create!
