To our players:

We want to share some news regarding a few of our longest standing games.

Based on the natural evolution of our game storylines and changing consumer preferences, we have made the tough but important decision to close 11 of our older Web and mobile games, some of which have been in market for more than 4 years. The games impacted are Ayakashi: Ghost Guild, Bubble Safari Mobile, Bubble Safari Ocean, CastleVille, ChefVille, Duck Dynasty Slots, Pioneer Trail, Puzzle Charms, Skateboard Slam, Riches of Olympus Slots and Zynga Slots.  All games will be ending by April 30^th. Games have begun rolling out closure information via in-game messages and include a thank you to players.

As a team we do not take the decision to close our games lightly but we have made this decision in order to pave the way for our game teams to put their passion, energy and creativity into developing new, world-class games for you. We greatly appreciate your support of these games over the years.

We are proud of the connections and relationships these games have fostered for our players and we are looking forward to sharing the new experiences our teams are creating. With mobile games like FarmVille: Harvest Swap, Empires & Allies and Dawn of Titans all slated to launch later this year, we are excited to usher in a new era of Zynga and NaturalMotion games that we hope you will enjoy.

Zynga Slots - Boss Battle Guide

What’s the Boss Battle all about?



A boss battle in slots?! Zynga Slots has boss battles and adventures galore! It’s all part of an adventure component where you can pick from a variety of pets that travel along a linear path to collect items, complete quests and beat the crap out of bosses! All this is done simultaneously with the others in the room so you never have to worry about being out matched. There are also boosts you can collect along the way that will give you some help in the fight!    


    

So why is there a boss? The adventure path you’re following is essentially a level and every level needs a boss. Each boss will also pose more of a challenge as you gain more levels and open more rooms. It’s not going to be a surprise when your about to get into a boss battle because the progress bar located above your slot reel will fill, presenting you with a drop down notifying you of the coming battle. 

The great thing is boss battles FREE! So spin the reel as much as you can to try and defeat the boss. What if you don’t beat the boss? You’ll still earn a few gems and the Xp you left the boss with will still be there when you fight them again!

That brings up to contributions and the leader board. Your contributions are based on the total multipliers achieved during a round. So if you have high contributions during the round, the higher your ranking will be on the leader board. For information on the multipliers, go to the bottom left side of the room and check the pay table. Each image has a different multiplier based on the amount of images that line up on the reels.

Tips and Tricks for Boss Battles 

“The Boss can stun you! If the Boss stuns you, you will see a round circle -- be sure to keep clicking to reduce the stun time” – Rafael R.

“I like to gather fairies/snowballs/bones from posts to have an advantage, try double clicking the mouse instead of the space bar since it's quicker to recover when you are stunned and leave the rest to luck when spinning!” – Hector P.

“I have noticed that using a pet that has more progress with Perks and that is found in the Stage where you're fighting may cause more damage to the Boss. It has to be one that comes from that same stage or higher, because if it comes from a lower stage the Boss may escape.” – Carlos M.

Zynga Slots - Guide to Pets

There are so many pets, how do I know which one to use?
From animals, to mythical creatures, to mystical powers galore! There so many pets in Elite Slots that you may have your hands full in deciding which characters to use at any given time. That’s a hard call! In most cases the right pet to use would depend on how strong the boss is. If you have a boss with a lot of experience, you may want to use a powerful pet.

The great thing about Elite Slots is that you can change your pet at a moments notice, except when you’re fighting a boss. There are 2 ways of doing that! The first and the quickest way is to click on your pet in the adventure trail to display your pet inventory and select any of your owned pets to play in that room. The second option is to go to the store and look for the pets that have “select” under them and select the one you want to use.


When choosing to use a pet, you may want to review their perks and power. Both of these stats can influence your game and your strategy. If you’re asking yourself, “Well, how does it do that”, I’ll explain. As stated above each pet has a different set or perks and power. The perks can range from gaining more experience on the trail, to gaining more speed so that you can get to the boss faster. The power is the strength of your pet. Although you can unlock different perks with your pet, the power of the pet doesn’t usually change. Just like changing your pet perks and power can be viewed in 2 ways! Follow the steps above as if you wanted to change your pet. Thefirst and quickest will immediately display each of your pet’s perks and power. For the second, instead of clicking select, double click the image of any pet to see the power and perks!

Another interesting feature of pets are how they move. Some players believe that it’ by the amount you bet or win, but it’s actually the multiplier! So if you get a 4 frog princes your pet will be moving a little faster then if you hit 3 apples.

What is a Quest?

As defined by Wikipedia “A long or arduous search for something“ which is exactly what you’re doing in Zynga Slots! While your pet is traveling down the adventure path gathering goods to help you gain perks and levels there will be tasks that populate, called Quests. You may be thinking, “How can there possibly be a quest in a slots game?” Well, we have that covered!

The Quests in Zynga Slots are designed around your distance, spins, friends, collections and bosses. Each Quest will present itself as you begin to acquire things related to that task and can be easily accessed through the quest icon on the top right hand side of the adventure path.

Once you’ve double clicked on a specific quest the popup will be available to show you exactly what you need to complete the Quest and the rewards for completion! The great thing is that these rewards get immediately granted to your account once the Quest is complete. This also includes pets! Want to see your new pet? It’s as easy as clicking on your pet, going through the store or viewing your profile.

Zynga Slots - Guide to the Round Leaderboard

How does the Round Leaderboard work? What does it take to be Round Leader? 

   

There can only be 1 round leader and getting there is completely by chance! To be the round leader you’ll need to get the most multipliers for that round. If you’re not sure what multipliers are, it’s the amount based on the number of images you get on the reel. You can find out the amount of each image by selecting the pay table in each room. 




What you’re seeing is a listing of all the possible images you’ll see in that room. The set of numbers listed next to each image is the possible number of the image on a line and the second number is the multiplier. So if I were to get 3 red macaws in a line I would get a 26 multiplier. 
Your placement on the leaderboard will be the sum of all your multipliers versus the sum of each of the other player’s multipliers in the room. 
*Keep in mind that the multiplier that your going to receive is dictated by the image on the far left. Lines that are missing the image on the far left reel are not counted as a line.
Getting 90^th place in a room with 10 people? There’s a good reason for that! You can enter or leave a room at any time. Once you’ve entered a room all multipliers you receive while playing in that room are collected and compared to anyone else who’s also played in the room for the duration of that round. So when your seeing such a low placement it means there have been 90 players that have come in and played from the beginning of that round to battling the boss.

Can you have a strategy in Slots?



Of course you can have a strategy! As a freethinking organism everything we do has some kind of strategy behind it. Now I’m not here to give you the “winning” strategy for Zynga Slots, I’m here to help you develop the strategy your comfortable with!

What kind of player are you?
The Aggressive Player: This player isn’t scared to go broke for the chance to win that huge win for the day. A potential strategy for this player is to bet really high or max bet and play until they either run completely out of coins or until they get the big win. An aggressive player is also very competitive.
The Conservative Player: This player looks for the enjoyment and entertainment of the game. A conservative player is more likely to bet small and engage themselves in other features of the game, like the bonus mini-game or building up a pet. 
The Average Player: Almost everyone fits into this category of player! The average player is a mixture of both the conservative and aggressive player. You want to win big but you don’t want to spend a lot doing it and still feel entertained. Sounds simple enough!

Another part of your strategy for Zynga Slots will be figuring out what pet to use and when to use it. As you may know each pet has a power bar and a specific set of perks that allow you to pick up more gems, gain more speed and much more. 
How will you be able to see the perks or know the power of a pet? Easy! All you need to do is go to the pet’s section through the top navigation buttons and select a pet!



Now that you may have a little more understanding about the type of player you are and you’ve selected the pet you would want to use or have a goal of acquiring, let’s talk about coin strategy!
Like many other factors in the game your coin strategy is going to be based on the type of player you are. There are 6 areas where you can collect coins on an hourly to weekly basis;ZMC (white envelope), Collect from your Slots Crew, Weekly Slots Party Challenge, 4 Hour Bonus, from your FB wall and collecting from the Zynga Slots fan page! If you have a bunch of coins in your inventory you may want to only collect the 4-hour bonus until you get low on coins and come back later to collect all the other bonuses. This will ensure that you can play longer and possibly give you an extra change to win the Jackpot when you thought your coins where all out!
