If players choose to use third party programs, also known as "Bots" to automatically interact with the Pioneer Trail game, they are breaking the Zynga TOS, specifically Section 1.9t:
"t. Make any automated use of the system, or take any action that imposes or may impose (in our sole discretion) an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure"
Not only is it unfair to their fellow players to cheat the system like this, but it also puts a strain on our systems. The result is an extremely small number of individuals clogging up our systems, and causing lag/loading issues for everyone.
Individuals who break Zynga's TOS in this way are subject to removal from our systems, so that all other players can have an improved gameplay experience.
