How do you spell P-L-A-Y seven different ways?  Words With Friends is the answer as Zynga launches its popular word game in seven new languages today including Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Danish, Dutch, Russian, and Swedish.
Words With Friends is a word-building game that has connected millions of players around the world by challenging them to create the highest-scoring words while playing against friends, family, or random opponents.  Launched in July 2009, and recently named by Apple as the #1 free game of all time, Words With Friends remains one of the most popular games in the App Store with an estimated 55 million matches being played around the world at any given moment.  Now one of the world’s most popular word games will connect even more people in their native language.
Words With Friends continues to be the anchor of Zynga’s With Friends franchise of mobile social games, which now includes seven titles including Running With Friends and Scramble With Friends.  More than five million new words were created across the seven new languages to make the international dictionary 20x larger than the English version.
Juego. Gioco. Spelen – however you spell it in your language, Words With Friends is spreading more P-L-A-Y today.  Words With Friends is available in a total of eight languages for free from the App Store on iPhone, iPad and iPod touch or at www.AppStore.com as well as on Google Play.  Additionally, players can play the game in English only on Facebook, Amazon Kindle Fire, and Barnes and Noble’s NOOK.  If players are already playing the game in English, they will need to download the international version to play in one of the seven new languages.
