Atlas Raiders FAQs

Story:

Your father has gone missing on a treasure expedition many years ago and only “The Foundation” knows what happened to him. You play as a treasure hunter hired by “The Foundation” on a quest to find the 13 crystal skulls hidden throughout the world. The only way to locate them is through the guide of an enchanted atlas that only you have the power to harness. By recovering the 13 crystal skulls, you hope to ultimately locate your missing father.


About Atlas Raider

Atlas Raider is based on a discovery and movement system. Your objective is to try and advance from one part of the board to the next by unlocking gates until you ultimately reach each of the 13 crystal skulls. Speak to the locals to accept missions, construct buildings, plant and harvest crops and learn more about the land that you’re in. Players will run into characters that are playable along the way as well as wild encounters with local animals on this exciting yet dangerous journey. Play with your friends to help each other out and find lost treasures in the process.


Game Features

Activating Totems
Totems require Relic Skulls to activate. You can earn Relic Skulls by discovering new board spaces, visiting friends, and completing missions.

Discovering New SpacesAll board spaces are locked. When you land on one, it becomes discovered. Once discovered, the spaces can be selected to land on anytime they fall within your dice roll. More discovered spaces mean more choices in landing wherever you want. Each discovered space will reward players with a Relic Skull.

Treasure Chests
Completing certain missions will award you with Treasure Chests. Treasure Chests require certain tool items to unlock that players can earn by moving about on the board. You can also purchase tools in the Shop or ask your friends to gift them.

Character Collection
Earn character cards during gameplay to unlock usable board characters. Each character card displays certain attributes that will prove useful in your journey to locate the 13 crystal skulls. Try to collect them all if you can!

Construction Jobs
During gameplay you may sometimes have to help villagers construct buildings (some will take multiple visits/steps to complete and some will require a friend’s assistance to complete) in exchange for rewards and information.

Farm Jobs
Sometimes you will be asked by characters in the game to help them with their farming duties by planting and harvesting crops on dedicated farming plots throughout the map in exchange for rewards and information. Harvesting crops will take a certain amount of time to complete.

Wild Encounters
Certain board spaces are inhabited by wild creatures that you will encounter and must fight against. Use different types of weapons to increase your chances of winning. Weapons can be earned during play, purchased directly from the shop or received as gifts from friends. If you lose a wild encounter it will cost you -1 energy.

My Comics
Unlock beautiful illustrated comic pages during play to piece together the intriguing story of Atlas Raider. Comics are earned by unlocking new sections of the board map. There are also exclusive/special comics that players can unlock during play. You’ll want to collect them all!

2       Will dropped Coins/XP/Energy/Misc items be added if I don’t collect each of them?
Yes, everything that drops during game play is automatically added to your game progress even if you choose not to collect them.

3       How do I level up?
You can level up by gaining XP each time you move between the board spaces and by completing missions in the game. XP items are shaped like a blue star and will drop after every action or event. Your XP bar will automatically fill even if you choose not to collect the dropped XP items.



4       How do I obtain a mission in the game?
Missions are given to players by NPCs found on the board. An exclamation mark over an NPC indicates that they have a new mission for you. To obtain the mission, simply pass by them on the board. They will automatically stop you during travel and assign you a mission.



5       How do I check the status of a mission?
You can always check on the status of any mission by clicking on the mission list icon or any of the individual mission icons along the side of the screen.


     

6       How do I start and finish a construction job?
To begin a construction job simply land on a construction space on the board (usually a plot of dirt as shown in the image below). Once you land on a construction space, information will be displayed to the player with the amount of time and number of steps required to finish construction.
A blinking hammer button indicates that the construction process will start when clicked. Once a construction has begun, it will take some time for it to be completed. Some constructions may take multiple steps to complete so you may have to land on the same construction space again to continue with the next step of construction.



7       How come I can’t finish constructing a building on my last construction step?
Certain constructions will need the help of your friends to complete it. These types of social construction sites will display a “friend” needed icon above it. Getting friends to help you finish constructing is powerful because it will then enable the building to auto generate rewards for you over and over again.



8       How often can I collect rewards from fully completed construction sites?
You can collect rewards from most finished constructions as many times as you’d like by assigning current game friends to help you start the reward generating process. Once you see the “Assign” button above the construction, you’ll know that the construction is fully completed and ready to begin generating more rewards. Click on the Assign button and choose a current Atlas Raider friend to help you begin generating rewards. The more friends you have, the more you’ll be able to assign. Once a friend is chosen, they will not be able to help for a fixed number of hours so it’s good to have a number of friends playing the game together so you can always ask for help and not wait too long.

9       How do I start and finish a farming job?
To begin a farming job simply land on a farm space on the board. Most of the time it will look like a plot of farming land as shown in the image but not always. Once you land on a farm space, it will display what type of crop it can grow and the amount of time required until you can harvest and collect. To begin harvesting a finished crop, simply click the blinking rake icon.



10    How do I know when a certain job is ready to be collected from?
Any time you see a coin bag icon, it means that the job is complete and ready to be collected.



11    How to I obtain a Treasure Chest?
Treasure Chests can be earned by completing specific missions during game play. Once the mission has been completed, the NPC will award you a locked Treasure Chest for each area of the map.


      


12    How do I unlock a Treasure Chest?
You will need a certain amount and type of tools to open Treasure Chests. Tools can be earned randomly during game play. They can also be purchased in the Shop or received from friends as a gift.


    

13    What does unlocking a Treasure Chest Do?
Once a Treasure Chest is unlocked, the treasure inside will be displayed properly on the treasure mantel in its location. By placing the treasure item on the mantel, it will automatically begin harvesting random special items (Gold/XP/Energy/Tools/Etc.) for you after the countdown timer has expired.


           

14    How do I unlock the gate to the next area of the map and also obtain a new comic book?
Each section of the map contains a main area mission that is automatically assigned to the player when the area is unlocked. To open the gate to the next area, players must complete the area mission by activating all the totems and discovering the amount of spaces required by the mission. Some missions will also require the player to unlock a certain amount of Treasure Chests.




    

15    How do I activate a totem?
To activate a totem, players must earn the certain number of relic skulls during game play. Relic skulls can be obtained by discovering new board spaces, completing missions, and/or helping friend’s out by visiting their board maps. Once a player has earned enough skulls, a message will appear letting the players know it’s time to activate a totem.


    

16    Why do I have to fight the animals I meet on the board?
The creatures that you come across the board are called wild encounters because they are just that – wild! When travelling on the board, you may just land on a space that hides such an animal and you’ll have to fend for yourself. Wild encounters can be defeated by many different ways (with your bare hands or by weapons). Each animal has a different difficulty level so choose your weapon wisely as a loss will lead to loss in energy.


  

17    How do I invite friends to play Atlas Raider?
There are many ways to invite friends to play Atlas Raider. One way is to select the “Invite Friends” button located at the friends section of the game or select the tab menu above the game window (see images below). Another way is by asking your friends for help during game play for certain missions and tasks. There are many advantages to inviting friends – Friends can visit each other’s boards to help out and collect rewards. Players can also send gifts and receive special items needed during play to each other.


  



18    How do I purchase Items, view my current Inventory or purchase new characters to use?
At any time during play, you can access the shop, view your current Inventory or visit the Character Shop from the menu shown below.




Note: Some characters must first be unlocked by earning a character card during game play before it becomes available for purchase. Character cards are usually earned by successfully completing dice race missions.



    

19    Is there a quicker way to use items from my Inventory list?
Shortcut buttons have been placed along the right side of the screen to allow players to have easier access to specific inventory items in their possession. Use the shortcut buttons to change characters, access the Treasure Inventory, refill your energy, and use Teleport & Magic Dice items.




20    How do I speed up the process if I don’t have time to wait around for certain jobs to complete or just want to finish up a mission faster?
You can always use Pixels to instantly complete any mission or task.

   




21    How do I purchase more pixels?
Every time you level up, you have a chance to earn 1 Pixel. You can also purchase Pixels though the “+Get More” button in game or “Add Pixels” tab located above the game window.




  

22    Can I play the game in full screen mode?
Switching to full screen mode is the best recommended viewing option while playing Atlas Raider. This will enable you to see more of the game board at once. To switch to full screen mode, simply click the Settings Icon to pull out the Settings menu and click on the full screen button.



23    How can I view and accept game requests sent by my friends?
Players can view and accept game requests by viewing their Atlas Raider message inbox envelope located on the menu bar above the game window.





24    How do I visit a friend’s Atlas?
To visit a friend’s Atlas, simply click on their profile picture located at the bottom of the game window, which displays all your current game friends. You will be provided with a certain amount of energy to help research and collect rewards on each friend’s Atlas.  You can also visit another friend’s Atlas while visiting a friend by clicking on their profile pictures.



25    How do I obtain a Research Artifact and what does it do?
Research Artifact items can ONLY be collected by viewing a friend’s Atlas. The more friends you have, the more Research Artifacts you can earn in a given day.  A Research Artifact is a very powerful item to have as it allows players to discover (unlock) any locked board spaces that fall within a dice roll.


   
              
26    Why can’t I collect any more Research Artifacts from the same friend?
If you’ve already earned a Research Artifact from a specific friend, you will not be able to earn another one until you have used the previous collected item from the same friend.

27    I have more than one Research Artifact, why can’t I use the other ones right away?
Research Artifacts are very powerful items and have a short cool down timer associated with each use. Once the cool down timer has expired, you will be able to use the other Research Artifact items you have. You can always bypass the wait time by using your Pixels.



28    I need to land on a specific board space to complete my mission. Is there a way to make sure I roll an exact number so I can land on the desired space?
If you need to roll an exact number, you can always purchase a Magic Die in the shop section. Magic Die allow you to roll the exact number you need to get to the board space you need to land on.



29    I traveled past the space I need to land on and don’t want to go around the board again in order to land on it. Is there a quicker way to travel around the board?
Players can travel faster around the board by using Teleport items that can be purchased in the Shop. There are also Fast Travel Spaces that are scattered throughout certain areas. Fast Travel Spaces act as a shortcuts to take you to the other side of the board in order to save you time and energy.


  

30    How can I gift items to my friends?
To gift an item, simply click on the “Gifts” tab located at the top of the game window. You can gift items to friends once a day.



  

31    How can I view the Comics I’ve already unlocked?
To view unlocked Comics, simply click on the “My Comics” button located under the “Atlas” menu.


    

32    How can I automatically locate and center my character on the game screen?
To center your character, simply click on your characters face located on the top left corner of the game window. The screen will automatically locate and reconfigure your screen to place your character in the center of the screen.




33    How many times can I request a friend for help or send them a gift request?
Currently players can only request help and send gifts to each friend once every 24 hours.

34    What time zone is Altas Raider on?
Atlas Raider is currently on Pacific Standard Time (PST) unless otherwise stated.
