Chefs Circle is a feature that enables you to play with other serious chefs you haven’t met yet! Since this is a big, new feature Café World and we are only releasing this to a small number of players at first. As we squish bugs and get feedback, we’ll tune it up and send it out to more people.
Since this is a whole new kind of feature, let's talk about privacy first!
The Chefs Circle feature shows only your first name and your profile picture. Your personal information will not be available to other players within Chefs Circle, unless you choose to add them as a Facebook Friend. When you are only on a team in Chefs Circle, your team members will have a round frame around their profile picture, denoting they are only in your Chefs Circle, not real friends. You can visit their café, but you cannot send them feeds or requests unless you choose to add them as a friend.
If you decide to become friends with someone in Chefs Circle and choose the “Friend” option, a request will be sent to the other player inside Café World. If that player accepts, you will receive a regular Facebook friend request. If they decline, you can still play as a team in Café World Chefs Circle, without being Facebook Friends. You will not be able to send another friend request if they decline.
If someone in Chefs Circle would like to friend you, you will see an in-game notice, which you may accept or decline.
Now, onto CHEFS CIRCLE!
Beginning!
Amelia will walk into your Café with a Chefs Circle logo above her head.
You may say yes or no to Amelia.
If you say Yes, Your Chefs Circle will form.
You will place the chalkboard in your café to keep track of your circle.
When your Chefs Circle is ready, you see an announcement with images and names of your new team.
Otherwise you will see an announcement that the circle is forming.
You may also click Chefs Circle under Gifts and Social in the lower left menu.

Leaving Chefs Circle: You or another chef:
Once you are in a Chefs Circle, you may leave and the Chefs Circle may repopulate with more players. If you are in a team and another player leaves, your team can continue and your Chefs Circle may repopulate with new players.
You will be asked to confirm whether you want to leave.
**Once you leave you cannot rejoin that specific Chefs Circle, but you could join a new Chefs Circle. You may not handpick your Chefs Circle.
How Chefs Circle Works!
The Chefs Circle feature will pick a quest to start working on together.
You will see your progress and the team’s progress.
The first person to finish the quest will receive the crown! (stars around your picture) After the team finishes, everyone receives the prize shown and you will see an announcement. Then you will move onto the next quest.
Help!
To help your circle, choose “Help” above their image to send them something they need for that quest. This item is a random item they need for that quest. If they have finished that quest, they will receive a special delivery.
You may help each player once a day.
If the players in the Chefs Circle don’t play for (5 days), they will have “zzz” under their image. You may click the “Wake up!” button to send an email to get them back in the game. (You will not see their email. The email will be sent through the game. Email addresses are not visible to other players through Chefs Circle.)
Chat!
You can chat with your Chefs Circle in the Chefs Circle control panel. Ask for help, share tips or completion!
Click in the lower part of the chat window to send a message to your Chefs Circle.

What happens if I have already completed the Chefs Circle goal?
It is possible that you may have already completed the chosen quest previously. If that's the case, you will be awarded a crown for completing the quest first. At this point, you can help your crew finish the quest. Once everyone has completed the quest, everyone will receive a reward.
What happens when I have inactive Chefs Circle members?
If one of your Chefs Circle members falls asleep, you will see ZZZ's by their image. You can then wake them up, but if that player is inactive for an extended period of time, they will be removed from your Chefs Circle and another member will be automatically added to your Circle.

So far I have been in circle and have not received any help. The people in the circle don't even cook. They don't push the "help" button. Nice concept but nobody is participating. It's useless.
ReplyDeleteI'm in the Chefs Circle and most of my team members play all the time. I can see when they've spiced my food and I get items to continue the quest. I didn't have a lot of friends that play CW so this helped my to expand. I like it.
ReplyDeleteI would only be interested in participating if my Chef's Circle could honor regular CW requests to help out with the dozens of current missions and goals we must complete. I'm not interested in any separate, Chef's Circle goals. I DO like the idea that we can be neighbors but not necessarily friends, so we can maintain privacy on FB.

ReplyDeleteI am participating in one of the chef circles. It is nice to have someone to help since few of my real friends play. One thing that has become apparent though, is that if a chef circle member friend requests me, the pop-up keeps me from doing anything until I make a decision. Would it be possible to at least make it so I can message though the chef circle board with this person? I have only a name an picture and would like the ability to communicate with this person a little before making a choice. It isn't that I want to be mean or anything, it's just I put my information in jeopardy as well as the information of every facbook friend I have, which are all relatives or real life friends. Please let me know.

ReplyDeleteSerriously. I only have 2 friends who play this game and a chef's circle would help me get rid of so many quests as they all have multiple parts. As it is I can finish a quest line in a month...PLEASE offer this to everyone!
ReplyDeleteI have been helping the people in the chef's circle for whom the HELP button is available. But now only 1 person has the HELP button available. For rest it is disabled. But even after helping this one person, I am being shown as inactive (with ZZZZ). No one in the chef's circle is helping

ReplyDeleteMy Chef's Circle has been "Forming" for weeks now. It'd be better if Zynga could fix this and make sure people aren't waiting for more people to join in. It'd be great if I could actually start using my circle.
