"It appears you have a game open in another window"?

Howdy, Farmers!

Occasionally, players have informed us that they they are receiving a "It appears you have a game open in another window" error message while playing FarmVille 2.

We see this problem flare up once in a while, and we need to explain why it happens. When one of our servers goes down, our game mistakenly interprets the missing data as the game running in another window.  It's not an accurate message at all.

We know you most likely don't have any other FarmVille 2 windows open.  Some players also believe that this is evidence that their account is being 'hacked' or compromised somehow.  That is not the case.

Whenever this message happens to you, please refrain from contacting us. Our agents can't get your game back online, and these server outages are always rare and temporary. The best thing to do is keep trying to get into the game. 

The game studio is always monitoring its server infrastructure and outages are quickly seen. Repairs begin immediately. 


We are working to create a better messaging solution for this scenario. But until that happens, the message will be shown.

So, next time you see this error, just sit tight and it will go away as soon as possible.
