Announcement: Slingo Closure

Our goal at Zynga is to bring players the most fun and social games on the web. Over the last year, we have had a great time working on Slingo, and we thank you for joining us on our exciting journey.

As the Zynga family of games continues to grow, we have had to make hard choices as to where we can best strike a balance between supporting Slingo, and creating new games for you and others to play. 

As a result of this, we are shutting down Slingo to make room for future game offerings. Slingo will be shutting down on August 26th, 2013.

This decision did not come easily to us. However, in an effort to continue the high level of game maintenance and customer support that we feel our users deserve, we simply have to retire some of the less popular titles from our catalog.

We are confident that if you visit Zynga.com and try out some of our other titles you will be able to find a high quality replacement there.

FAQ: Slingo Closure

When is Slingo shutting down? 
We’re sorry to announce that Slingo will be shut down on August 26th, 2013. You can continue to play the game until then. The option to 'Migrate to other games' will be active until August 26th. 

How does the Bonus package work?
Choose the game in which you would like to receive the bonus package. The games in which you can redeem this one-time bonus package are: Farmville 2, Bubble Safari and Zynga Poker.
Enter the email address where you would like to receive the details from Zynga Customer Support.
Click on the ‘Redeem Offer’ button.
Look out for your email from CS.

What if I already have an account in the other game?
The bonus package will be added to the existing account.

Can I have the bonus package credited to a different account?
The package will be added to the same Facebook account only.

What if I don’t have an account in the other game?
Please ensure that you have created an account in the other game before redeeming the bonus package. We will not be able to add the bonus package unless you have an account in the game you wish the package to be added to.

Can we purchase items in the game?
You can continue playing the game normally until the game is completely shut down. You will not be able to purchase items for cash from 07/26/2013. 

What about Slingo cash, coins and points? Can I transfer these to another game?
You can spend your cash and coins in the game until Slingo officially closes on August 26th, 2013. Slingo cash, coins and points cannot be transferred to another game.

Why can’t I invite friends to the game?
We have disabled the ‘Invite Friends’ feature as new users are no longer able to join the game.
