Some players are reporting that they are receiving an error of “Invalid Email” when they attempt to register their valid email address on the new Zynga.com website; this is the same email they use on Facebook and the Zynga Player Support website, so why won’t it work on Zynga.com?
The “Invalid Email” error is being given because that email address has previously been used to play on the original Games With Friends titles (Words with Friends, Gems with Friends, etc) without using Facebook Connect.
The Zynga.com Studio is currently investigating how to allow these email addresses to be used, howeer there are currently two methods for you to continue playing on Zynga.com
- Log into the Games With Friends title that uses the email address in question, and update that game with a different email address. This will free up that email address to be used on Zynga.com
- Use a different email address to play on Zynga.com. Using a different email address on Zynga.com will not affect your games or friends lists in any way, as the one-time Facebook Connect option is used to synch that information.
