Whenever you receive the popup below, click "Get Cookin!" to get started (if you aren't quite ready, select "Maybe Later" so you can start it at another time.)

You will then be prompted to help the first family, Hank & Fanny:

Next, time to help the McBaggins family by completing the second mission:
