Feed Collection System

Ten-HUT!

A number of users have expressed confusion over the way feed collection works—specifically, confusion around how often feeds can be collected. A lot of people have been seeing the "You have collected the maximum number of feeds of this type for today" message, without really understanding what it means.

So there are two limits on feeds. One limit is on how many times you can click on a feed before it expires, and one limit is on how many feeds you can collect from in a 24-hour period.

The trick for that second limit is this: the timer is not a 24-hour timer that resets every day at midnight. It's arolling timer which counts how many feeds you've collected in the last 24 hours.

What does this mean? Let's see you click on a new feed once every hour, starting at 1:00 in the afternoon—your first click at 1, your second at 2, etc. If the limit for the feed was set at 10 feeds per 24 hours, you would run out of clicks at 10:00pm.

The next day you sit down to play again, and click your first feed at 1:00pm, which works fine since it's been 24 hours. However, you can't click on another feed until 2:00pm, because as soon as you get that first click, you're at your cap again.

Does that make sense? Every time you click, the system looks back 24 hours from the time of the click, and counts how many feeds you've collected in that time to determine if you've hit the cap or not.

This means that depending on when you last collected a feed, the number of feeds you'll be able to collect before you reach the cap may not always be the same. This is what's causing a lot of the confusion.

If you have any questions or feedback, please post them in the feedback thread here.
