Here are some answers to common questions that players may have about Words With Friends:
- Is the app free? Absolutely! While there are paid versions of the application for mobile devices, which will allow you to bypass advertisements -- you are not required to pay for the app to play! This goes for all versions of the app: Android, Apple iOS, and Facebook versions. *Note*: If you are playing on a mobile device, you may be subject to data charges from your network provider. Contact your network service provider for more information about data charges you may encounter.
- Can I create games against mobile players if I am only playing on Facebook? You bet! You only need to know the username of the player you want to play. You can create games with them on any of the game's platforms -- iOS, Android, and Facebook.
- Which words are allowed and which ones are not? We have referenced the ENABLE list as a good starting point for our dictionary. Some words have been removed from our dictionary and others have been added. If you would like to suggest a word to be added, you can do so HERE. Words that are slang, offensive, or Proper words will not be added to the dictionary.
- If I need to reinstall the application, will I lose my active games? No way! The games are stored on our server and will be restored to your application after you uninstall and log back into your account. Just make sure you spell your email address correctly when logging into the app for the first time, since your account is based on the email address that you are using.
