In Empires & Allies, buildings give you access to everything you need to play. All buildings can be found in the build menu:
Each building falls under one of the following categories: Housing, Industry, Military, Government, and Decorations.
Housing
Housing buildings are used in Empires & Allies to produce coins and increase your population. Housing buildings are found under the Housing tab in the Build menu:
Housing produces coins in the form of rent. Rent is produced at fixed intervals in fixed amounts depending on the type of house. Houses also provide population for your Empire. A larger population unlocks advanced Industry and Military buildings.
Industry
Industry Buildings produce resources for your Empire. All Industry buildings are unlocked by increasing your population. Industry buildings are located in the Build menu in the Industry tab:
There are three types of Industry Buildings in Empires & Allies.
· Small Farm: The Small Farm produces crops that can be harvested for coins. You unlock crops by increasing your level.
· Market: You use the Market to sell your resources to your friends or buy resources from them.
· Production buildings: These buildings include the Lumbermill, Oil Derrick, and Ore Mine. Each of these buildings produces resources according to a contract. These buildings are available in Levels I, II, and III which are unlocked by increasing your Population. More advanced production buildings produce larger amounts of resources per contract compared to less advanced production buildings.
Military
Military Buildings are the foundation of your military machine in Empires & Allies. You use Military buildings to build the fighting force to defend your Empire.
The three types of military buildings are Barracks, Shipyards, and Hangars. Barracks produce Land units. Shipyards produce Sea units. Hangars produce Air units. Each type comes in Levels I, II, and III. More advanced buildings produce more advanced units and require higher population to build.
Government
You build Government buildings to increase your maximum population. Each Government Building must be staffed to be completed. You can staff Government Buildings with your friends or use Empire Points to hire people for each position:
Government Buildings are found under the Government Buildings tab on the Build menu:
Decorations
Decorations personalize your island nation. All Decorations cost a fixed amount of coins to place. Some decorations, like Army base parking, tarmacs, roads, or bricks, can have units placed on them. Decorations are found under the Decorations tab in the Build menu:
Expansions
Expanding in Empires & Allies is done by purchasing small chunks of land at a time.
Additional Expansions are purchased from the Expansion tab of the Build menu:
All Expansions cost Coin and Liberty Bonds. Liberty Bonds can be earned by winning Campaign battles or given to you by your friends. The Coin cost increases for each Expansion you purchase.
