How to use Workers

Workers are Characters that can be bought (or hired) in the Marketplace.  The Workers are very similar to crops in other Zynga games. They have a period of maturation that must pass before they can be harvested. 

 

Workers work like this:

 

When on your Home Turf, go to the bottom right corner of the screen, and click the hard hat icon to open the Workers menu.  In the Workers window that opens, you'll see that you need to invite a few Crew members to get 1 Worker, or you can buy a Worker with Gold Bars.The workers that you have purchased or unlocked will be available in this window. 

 

Click a worker in the Workers window to place the worker on your Home Turf. (Click the  red X button in the bottom right menu to exit placement mode.)

 

Initially, the worker has a Zzz icon that shows that he has no assigned job. Click a worker to assign a Job. The Worker Jobs window opens. Each Job requires a set amount of Product to start the job and a payout of a set amount of Cash. There are three Job Tiers, each requiring you to complete various missions. You can also unlock more Worker Jobs with Gold Bars.

 

After assigning a job, wait for the Worker to mature. Placing your pointer over the worker shows you how much more time is needed. Mature workers sparkle and have a cash icon above them. The payout can then be collected from them. Harvest a worker by clicking on one. This costs some amount of Energy.

 

Workers can die if you fail to collect their yield within the allowed time. You can get your friends to undo this death, though. Your Rivals can also incapacitate your Workers.
