What's the difference between a Taste Lab Dish and a Signature Dish?

Hi Chef!

We've noticed that there is some confusion about the difference between a Taste Lab Dish and a Signature Dish, so if you have a question about that you are in the right place!

A Taste Lab Dish is a dish that you create in the Taste Lab...uh...huh...you probably already knew that, but what you may not know is that a Taste Lab Dish can become a Signature Dish when you upgrade it.

So how do you upgrade a Taste Lab Dish?

After you create your dish, you get something that looks like this:

Mmmm...Teriyaki.   See that red box in the bottom left?  That's what you need to do to upgrade the Taste Lab Dish to a Signature Dish.  You need to serve the dish 45 times and you need to collect 20 Feedback from your friends.

So how do you serve your delicious new dish?

The same way you serve any dish, go to your Cookbook by clicking on one of your stoves.  There is a category of dishes called "Taste Test", your new dish will be listed in that category:

So you cook and serve your new dish 45 times, next you need to get 20 Feedback.

You get feedback when your friends respond to a post on your wall.  When you go back to your Taste Lab, you see that "Get Feedback" button in the bottom left?  Click there and you post a Feedback request on your wall.  Your friends will need to respond for you to collect Feedback.

So you served 45 times and have 20 Feedbacks, now you can Upgrade that Taste Lab Dish to a Signature Dish!  The "Get Feedback" button turns into an "Upgrade" button.  Click upgrade and you get:

Click either of the Upgrade options and there you go, your Taste Lab Dish has now become a Signature Dish! This dish will now be located under the Signature Dish tab of the Taste Lab. In the Cookbook, it will now be in the Signature Dish Category.

Get making delicious dishes!
