If I do not have a cell phone, how can I secure my Zynga Poker account on Facebook?

It's very important to have Information Security on your computer! Having protection against potential attacks and knowing what to look out for are key factors in keeping information safe, and we can help!

Before we begin to add some security, let me go through a few things that you should be aware of while surfing the Internet!

·       Only download programs from websites you trust! If you're not sure whether to trust a program you are considering for download, try entering the name of the program into your favorite search engine to see if anyone else has reported that it contains spyware.

·       Avoid Phishing scams! Common Phishing scams will offer free stuff when you provide vital information. Do not click on them! If you receive a Phishing email or link please send it to us so that we can take the necessary action and help keep you safe.

·       Remove Spam from your inbox! The less you have the less likely you are to click something with malicious intent.

·
Do not give
Passwords, credit card numbers or personal information to anyone that you do not trust. If you do not trust someone, do not friend them either!

·       If there is a pop up that seems suspicious, click “X” to close the window instead of the “Close” button.

Now that you’re armed with some general knowledge on safety, lets take some security steps!

Run a virus scan!

Virus Scanners or Internet Security can help keep the computer virus free! Some free, commonly recommended scanners are:

  • Avast
  • Adware
  • Malwarebytes
Change your Facebook password occasionally!
Making this a habit will help to keep you secure.
