CityVille is happy to present a new way to gain population! Now, every time you collect from a residence it has a chance to drop additional population!

Q: So what do I do?
A: Simply collect rent from residences, each time you collect a population upgrade can drop.
Q: How much can each building population increase?
A: You can see this amount in the build menu or above any house when it is not ready for collection.
Q: My friend got a 40 population upgrade, why did I only get 20?
A: The amount of each upgrade will vary according to the max population of each residence.
Q: Why can't I upgrade my population? My residence is not at the cap.
A: Make sure you have not reached your city population cap. If you did, you must build community buildings!
Q: Population upgrades aren't dropping from my buildings, my residence and city are not at the cap. Why?
A: If your citizens are 'sad', population upgrades won't drop from residences.
Here's How it Works
In addition to the base population of a residence, each one can gain additional population up to it's maximum. This max is shown on the build menu, and it will also display above your building like so:
Remember: Although you have a chance to get one of these population upgrades every time you collect from a residence, they are relatively rare.
If you collect from houses often, you can increase your chance of getting a population upgrade.
Depending on the maximum population of your residence, the exact amount of population gained from each will vary.
